Registration is Open!
Our registration is now open! Thank you for your patience. Over the years the Richmond Oval has been supporting our club with low-entry rates to their world class Olympic size facilities. We have endeavored to keep our fees competitive in spite of increasing cost. After some negotiation, in partnership with the Oval, we have been able to structure the following options for this season in order to reduce barriers for you to enjoy the sport of Speed Skating. So thank you for your participation and see you on the ice!
Group 1 – Beginner skaters, age 5-15
$345 – Tuesdays + up to 2 Sundays a month.
$435 – Tuesdays + Thursdays + up to 2 Sundays a month.
4:15pm-5:15pm / Sundays 3:45-4:45
Group 2 – Intermediate Skaters
Returning/new skaters with coach approval
$525 – Tuesdays + Thursdays + up to 2 Sundays a month.
5:15pm-6:15pm / Sundays 5:45-6:45

BCSSA/SSC Membership
The system will automatically add a BCSSA/SSC Membership Fee. This covers insurance on the ice for skaters.
Choose from Recreational, Competitive, and Elite. Competitive is usually chosen so the skater is allowed to compete in Interclubs.
Volunteers
Parents/Guardians, please also register yourself and add a volunteer membership to be able to volunteer for the club for the season.
Please bring a volunteer deposit ($200 per skater) and a skate rental deposit ($600 if renting) post dated to March 31, 2021

Skate Rental Pickup
After registration, we will have sign up times for you to pick up your skates and any supplies you purchased. This is still being finalized. You will receive an email.

Health Checks
We will be using TeamSnap for Health Declarations during practices. You will receive an invitation when ready. For Skate pickups, use our online form.
Scheduling a Try Out?
We will schedule a tryout for you if you are new to Speed Skating. We will have more information once the season has begun and your fees will be prorated to your start date. Send us an email to schedule.
Ready to Register?
If you are an existing skater, your previous SSC account should have been imported into IceReg already. Use the password reset if necessary. If registering for a new account, let us know and I’ll arrange to link your SSC number with your account.
