Club Development is open to intermediate club-level Learn to Train (L2T) and Train to Train (T2T) speed skaters between 11 to 14 years of age who are currently competing at the local or regional level. The goal of the camp is to provide opportunities for speed skaters to train and improve on their speed skating skills during the summer months. In addition to ice time twice a day, camp training will include dryland, mobility, general strength, nutrition, yoga, and mental performance sessions.
Elite Weeks are designed for advanced club level speed skaters who want to improve passing strategies, develop speed and other sport specific race tactics to support individual training goals.
Stage 2 is a talent development training opportunity for top skaters who aspire to compete for BC at Junior Canadian Championships or Canada Winter Games. Skater participation is based on commitment to improving competitive performance. The goal of the camp is to provide on and off ice instruction that will help prepare and position an athlete to transition into provincial team status.
Note that Elite Weeks and Stage 2 camps have time requirements. Please see the attached information sheet for eligibility.
