Welcome Back!

On behalf of the Richmond Rockets Speed Skating Club, its Board and members, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year!

We are all excited to have our skaters back on the ice with their enthusiasm and energy, whether for introductory, recreational or competitive speed skating.

We strive to challenge each individual to be the best that they can be as they refine their individual abilities and techniques with the help of our wonderfully gifted coaching staff.

At the Richmond Rockets, we have dedicated coaches who spend hours planning and creating individual training programs for each skater in our skating groups. They utilize research-based best practices and analyze performance data to determine current skill levels and to set goals for growth and improvement. All our coaches have competitive speed skating backgrounds.

We hope that you will find our website helpful and informative. All of the information we send out can also be found on our website. Please take the time to click through and visit all the resources available to you.

Additionally, we have a TeamSnap account which allows us to send updates and quick announcements as we go through the season. we urge everyone to download the free app.

I am honoured to serve as president for the second year. It is truly a privilege to be part of a growing club and community where athletes and their supportive families care for each other and strive to build positive relationships in a healthy atmosphere.
