Richmond Rockets Oval Challenge 2026
Thank You
Dear Everyone,
Thank you all for being part of the Richmond Rockets Oval Challenge this weekend at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
This event truly felt like putting together a large and complex puzzle. It became complete and successful because so many people contributed their time, care, flexibility, and teamwork. Officials, coaches, volunteers, families, and skaters all played an important role in making the day run smoothly.
We saw many personal bests achieved throughout the day, and many smiling faces holding balloon flowers. Those moments were the greatest encouragement for us and a reminder of why these events matter so much.
Hosting a meet on a long weekend, and even on Valentine’s Day, makes everyone’s support especially meaningful. We are very grateful that our community chose to spend this time supporting our skaters and our club.
This season has been a unique and challenging one for the Richmond Rockets Speed Skating Club. That is why this event meant more than just racing opportunities. It was a reminder of what our speed skating community can accomplish when people step in to help one another. This meet would not have been possible without you.
We would love to hear your feedback. If you have a few minutes, please complete our short survey:

With gratitude,
