Overview

Registration – 06:30 am

  • Coaches/adult delegates are to pick up their Club’s set of helmet covers and skater gifts at the registration table.
  • Dressing rooms are located on the first floor and are allocated by Club as follows.  Unfortunately, not all clubs will have a dressing room due to the number of skaters registered. Maximum capacity per dressing room is – 25.
  • ROOM 1 – VVSSC
  • ROOM 2 – Langley and Ridge Meadows
  • ROOM 3 – Esquimalt, Matsqui, and Penninsula
  • ROOM 4 – Kamloops, Sardis, Prince George, and Whatcom County
  • BLEACHERS – Port Coquitlam, Burnaby, and Richmond will have to take the bleachers closest to the window on the north side of the rink.  We apologize for the inconvenience. It was the best that we can do.  Please make every effort to keep all belongings away from areas of traffic.

Chief Referee/ROO OTL/Meet Coordinator walk-about at 06:30

Warmup starts at 07:00 am.

  • Warm-ups OPTIONAL.
  • Please be ready at least 5 mins before your allotted time slot.
  • Only those slotted to be on the ice at that time will be allowed on.
  • If you are late, unfortunately, you have forfeited your time to warm up.
  • Please have your helmet covers on prior to entering the ice.
  • See the skater warm-up lists tab.  You will notice the groupings are large in numbers.
  • Pre-YTH/YTH/CD warm-up lists do not reflect ranking in their respective age categories.  They are grouped based on seed times.
  • Active starts do not participate in warm ups.
  • IMPORTANT – Please be mindful of other skaters AND only skate in a counter-clockwise direction to avoid potential mishaps.  These warm-ups are for you to familiarize yourself with the rink.

FLOOD after warm-up – 07:55am
Race Starts at 08:20am 
Active Starts – They will skate all 4 races at lunchtime.
PLEASE NOTE the following 

  • Skaters must be ready at least 5 races before their scheduled race.
  • All safety equipment must be worn, with no exceptions, and races will go on as scheduled.  At the discretion of the Chief Referee, any misconduct, tardiness, or non-compliance to safety standards of the competition, a skater may be removed from their scheduled race.
  • An area of the bleachers will be clearly marked as the Place Judging area.  During the race, there will be a barricade and a security person who will stop traffic during the commencement of the races.  Please instruct your skaters to keep clear of the area during that time.
  • The hospitality room is accessible only to registered officials, coaches, and volunteers.
  • Please bring enough snacks and a lunch for your skaters to last the whole day.

The final race schedule and skater lists will be finalized by Friday.

REGISTRATION

SANCTION: SSBC sanction

ELIGIBILITY:  All age categories are welcome.  

FORMAT: Ability Meet. This will be the last Interclub meet of the season.  Final opportunity to improve on or acquire a qualifying time for the BCST Championships in March.

TRACKS: 100m (Pre-youth/Youth) and 111m (NeoJR/ Junior/ Open Senior & Open Masters)

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: As per SSBC competition regulations

REGISTRATION FEE: $50 per skater ($20 for Active Starts – racing in this division will be held during lunch time)

REFUNDS: 

  • The scratch deadline is Thursday, February 16, 2023, @ 7:00 pm.  No refunds after this date.  Please contact – registrar@nullrichmondrockets.org
  • Processing fees are non-refundable.

SKATER REGISTRATION

  • When registration is open Registration Password will be sent to club contacts
  • Out-of-Province Skaters:  Skaters will require liability insurance from their home association and personal medical coverage. Please complete the mandatory fields as required.  If you wish to practice with an SSBC club of your choice, you will require an SSBC membership. Please sign and bring this waiver.
  • Registration closes on JANUARY 29th, 2023 at 11:30 pm PST or when spots are full. 
  • WAITLIST:When registration reaches its capacity, please click on the ‘Skater-Waitlist’ category to be added to the waitlist.  We will review the skater registration numbers and will contact you when a spot becomes available. If you have received instructions to pay for fees after being accepted, login to IceReg and click the cart icon to complete payment.

PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Please register in IceReg to ensure that all our volunteers are insured during the meet.  Non-Richmond Rocket members who are not yet members will be redirected to their Club registration site.  You will then register as a member to acquire an SSC ID (with your respective club first) and this will enable you to register as a volunteer at this event and future SSBC and SSC-sanctioned events.
  • Sign up for a position to volunteer on the day via this link.
  • Lunch is provided for full-day registered Volunteers.
  • Volunteer, Official, and Coach Registration closes February 11, 2023, at 11:30 pm.

SEED TIMES

Once registration closes each club will be sent a spreadsheet with the names of the skaters who have registered for the meet.  Club designate will fill in the spreadsheet with seed times and return them to
competitions@nullrichmondrockets.org by January 29 at 11:59pm or earlier. If PBs are acquired in Sardis meet, we will update the submitted times on Jan 29th.
